The sports event, which is part of the Fuerteventura-Lanzarote Inter-Insular Cup, is held on February 22 and 23
The Pájara government group, through the Department of Sports, directed by Manolo Alba, organizes the sixth edition of the ‘Jandía Bike’ sports event, a race that will bring together more than 500 participants on February 22 and 23 and which is part of the Fuerteventura-Lanzarote Inter-Insular Cup.
The mayor, Pedro Armas, explains that it is one of the sporting events with which it is intended to consolidate sport in the municipality. “We are lucky to have a high participation in this test and we will work so that, in the face of upcoming sporting events, the figures remain in this line”, he assures.

The ‘Jandía Bike’ includes two main modalities, the time trial to Pico de la Zarza, with more than 150 participants, and the race to be held in Morro Jable, which has more than 300 registered. Likewise, the little ones will have the opportunity to participate in a children’s event that will begin in the Port of Morro Jable and will be played by around 50 participants.
The Councilor for Sports, Manolo Alba, assures that the southern City Council has put a lot of effort and enthusiasm into organizing this event and invites all interested people to come to the starting and finishing points of the events to support the athletes .
The time trial to Pico de la Zarza will start at Avenida del Saladar, on Saturday, February 22, at 3:15 p.m. The following day, Sunday the 23rd, it will be the turn of the children in the Port of Morro Jable, at 10:30 am. Finally, the adult race will take place, which will start from Morro Jable and will take a circular route through Punta de Jandía.
