Fuerteventura.- Aseres, Los 600, Grupo Bomba and Dj Cat complete the poster that will entertain the Carnival of Antigua from 1:00 p.m. on February 22. Tuesday, February 11, 2020. – The Daytime Carnival  in Caleta de Fuste, in the municipality of Antigua, it will be one of the most outstanding events of the Majorera Shrovetide. Organized by the Department of Celebrations of the Antigua City Council and produced by Zukoabega Producciones, it will be held on Saturday, February 22, starting at 1:00 p.m. in an open-air event, near the beach, with live music throughout the day. The bill includes performances by Aseres, the 600, Grupo Bomba, the headliners Chamán «tribute to Maná», and the closing at dawn with the selection of Dj Cat in the booths.

The highlight of the day is the tribute to Maná defended by the Chamán band, a group based in Barcelona and made up of musicians from various countries such as Spain, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Uruguay and Italy. Chamán “tribute to Maná” was born in 2015 and is a multicultural band whose initial objective was to promote Latin music throughout Europe, focused on the repertoire of one of the most representative bands of the Latin rock genre, Maná.

It should be noted that this is a group that is absolutely recognized by Maná and by all the «maniacs» in Europe and Latin America. Its members, Iván Almazán (voice), Luis Tripicchio (drums and backing vocals), Patricio Montivero (guitar and backing vocals), Santiago Udrizar (bass), Carlos Rodríguez (guitar and backing vocals), Mariano Varela (percussion and backing vocals) and Stefano Ferri ( keyboards) are exceptional musicians with extensive experience and trajectory who transmit in all their live shows a faithful show and at the level of one of the most followed bands in the world, the Mexican Maná.

The members of the formation chose the name «Shaman» for referring to the most ancestral customs and rituals of the Mexican people. “It is a name that provides us with the energy, sensitivity and maximum rigor when performing the repertoire of a band that has touched the hearts of many people throughout the world”, comments Luis Tripicchio, the band’s drummer. . They will present “Corazón Espinado, European Tour 2020” at the Caleta de Fuste Day Carnival, where they will offer the indispensable repertoire of Mexicans with the jewels of the quartet, such as “Oye mi amor”, “En el pier de San Blas”, “Rayando el sol”, “Labios compartidos”, “Nailed in a bar”, “Corazón Espinado”, among the multitude of Mexican hits.

Variety of music The Daytime Carnival begins at around 1:00 p.m. and the first to take the stage to warm up the atmosphere are Aseres, the Latin music trio or what amounts to the same thing, the formation led by the Cuban Juan Carlos Orihuela, who confesses that he already He feels like a Canary Islander having been in the Archipelago since 1990 and with his gaze always fixed on his passion, music.

Aseres has experienced such a boom that they have a 2020 agenda in which there is no longer room for a single event. Orihuela is the alma mater of a project that was born in 2014 with only two members and since 2018 in the current trio format. With two and three members, they have been expanding their music in such a way that on weekends, between festivals, venues, concerts or private events, they have no rest. During 2019 they gave 340 performances and things are increasing for this year.

The cocktail that Orihuela prepares in each performance, accompanied by Alberto Óscar Valdés on percussion and Luis Javier Pérez on bass, results in a repertoire of Latin music and a review of some of the most outstanding themes of old and most current reggaeton. The formula for success, says Orihuela, «is to make people have a good time, that they don’t stop dancing for a second and have a good time on stage.» A third change will take place when they take the stage

Los 600, but to vindicate a varied setlist of songs in Spanish from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The group formed by Bencomo Morales, who is also the voice together with Juan Batista, was formed in 2016. Some of its members (the two vocalists, Bencomo Morales and Juan Batista as well as the percussionist Mayín), come from a long season in the ranks of the Tamarindos Orchestra. The combo is completed by Alejandro Velázquez on bass; Marcos Ramos, on the piano and keyboards; Pablo Trujillo, on guitar and Mario Ferrer «Mayín» on percussion.

Los 600 define their music as a tribute to lovers of the golden age of music in Spanish and an excellent option for the new generations who want to rediscover it in a unique way and through a sensory experience that goes beyond chords. At the end of the Los 600 concert, around 6:30 p.m., the Carnival Arena will start, leaving from Franchi Roca street and arriving at the Plaza del Campo del Carnaval where they will be received by the Grupo Bomba and its orchestra. They will put all the sauce and meringue to the Carnival. The orchestra was born in 2002 on the island of Fuerteventura, managing to become the leading Latin group on the island and considered among the best in the Canary Islands.

Some of the usual scenarios on the island have been and still are: The Night Tent of the World Windsurfing Championship in La Barca, the Antigua Merengazo, the Beach Party in El Castillo, the Kalima Fuerteventura Festival in Puerto Lajas, Weekend Parties of the year, Carnivals, Patron Saint Festivals, Marea Sound Festival, Youth Week in Gran Tarajal, as well as having shared the bill with Gilberto Santa Rosa, Elvis Crespo, Tony Tun Tun, Manny Manuel, as well as Edwin Rivera and Cherito, with whom They collaborated on songs and respective video clips. The group’s more than 40 performances in Geneva (Switzerland) stand out, where the group has made a name for itself as well as in the land of orchestras, Galicia, where its tours have many dates year after year.
