Pájara, February 19, 2020.- The Pájara government group, headed by Mayor Pedro Armas, held a meeting yesterday with the heads of the Civil Guard, Local Police, Civil Protection and other security and emergency forces of the municipality in order to coordinate troops for the celebration of the next Carnivals in the south of the Island.
The Security Board held in the Consistory premises served to share the special device that will be put in place so that the festivities are held without incidents and the comfort of all those attending the different events that will be held in the month is guaranteed. March in the municipality.
Those responsible for the security and emergency forces present at the meeting addressed issues related to traffic, schedules, the organization of access or emergency exits, among others.
The Councilor for Festejos, Juan Déniz, recalls that the world of advertising is the allegory chosen for Carnival 2020, which will be held from March 5 to 21 in the southern municipality.
Costa Calma will host its festivities on March 5, while La Lajita will do so on the 6th and Pájara on the 7th. Finally, the town of Morro Jable will celebrate its carnivals from March 13 to 21.
For his part, the first municipal mayor asks for the collaboration and involvement of all the residents so that the different organized events are a success and encourages the population to be part of the Carnival through the floats, murgas, comparsas, batucadas and the adult and child queens contest.
