The Fuerteventura destination culminates its professional meetings at Fitur with positive news for the sector in 2020

The airline Vueling continues to bet on Fuerteventura, a bet that will gain momentum this summer when it launches new weekly flights with the cities of Seville, Bilbao and Barcelona.
Specifically, it will offer one daily flight with Barcelona, three with Seville Airport (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and another three with Bilbao (Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday).
The Majorera delegation at the Madrid International Tourism Fair (Fitur) learned this morning of the intention of the Vueling company to expand new routes with the island’s airport, a commitment that will strengthen national tourism next summer.
The president of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura, Blas Acosta, thanked the Vueling company for continuing to work to unite the island with the peninsula «a commitment that will allow peninsular tourism to grow by 11% next summer.»
The news from Vueling comes one day after learning that 115,000 air seats will be offered from Germany, which will allow the German market in Fuerteventura to grow by 30%.
In addition, the British tour operator Jet2 will increase its frequencies to Fuerteventura from Birmingham, Glasgow, London Stansted and Manchester. The bet of Jet2 Holidays and Jet2.com to Fuerteventura fills the gap left by the bankruptcy of Thomas Cook United Kingdom. On the other hand, the manager of the Tourist Board, Moisés Jorge, met this Friday with representatives of Salmes’s Golf Cup, who have promised to hold a golf tournament in Fuerteventura next winter.
Likewise, the tour operator Logitravel has announced an increase in sales to Fuerteventura and they have shown confidence in reaching 50,000 customers. The tour operators Nautalia and Destinia will also increase their sales with Fuerteventura, the latter by 20%.
The Fuerteventura destination ends today, Friday, the professional meetings in the 40th edition of Fitur, after holding 33 meetings with representatives of national and international airlines and tour operators.
