With regard to the type of product, the Bankinter Consumer Finance business is currently distributed as follows: 53% of the total investment corresponds to personal loans, 30% to cards, and 17% to mortgages , only marketed in Ireland under the Avant Money brand, since two years ago this business was entered into in said jurisdiction.

It should be noted that 12 months ago, mortgages barely represented 3.3% of Bankinter Consumer Finance’s investment, which gives an idea of ​​the strong growth experienced by this business in Ireland and how this activity has changed the picture of the overall composition in recent months. from the portfolio.

In this sense, the growth experienced by mortgages has been 70% compared to December 2021 and 636% in the last year. For its part, the personal loan portfolio has grown by 15% and 26.8%, respectively. And the card business experiences a slight drop compared to December 2021 and grows 6.4% compared to a year ago.

With regard to the markets where this Bankinter subsidiary operates, such as Spain, Portugal and the Republic of Ireland, the data would be broken down as follows: the brand closed May in Spain with business of 2,249 million euros; in Portugal with 343.8 million; and in Ireland, with a total volume of 1,325 million euros, including cards, personal loans and mortgages.

The country that has experienced the greatest business growth has undoubtedly been Ireland, with an investment volume that has increased by 36% since the end of 2021 and by 141% if we compare the figures from 12 months ago. The real engine that has driven business growth in this country has been mortgages, which have proven to be Avant Money’s star product, which has gained wide acceptance in that market.

All this growth is a reflection of the dynamism shown by the different Bankinter Consumer Finance businesses and the geographic markets in which it operates, with a special focus on Consumption, at a time when this activity has recovered its upward trend after of a difficult period.
