Anna Niemczyk y Carlos Luis Miranda, vencedores de la X Clásica de Mogán

The tenth edition of the Clásica de Mogán motor race was held this Saturday, January 25, under the organization of the Fan Motor Team in collaboration with the Mogán City Council and the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa. The 25 participating teams covered more than 187 kilometers starting and finishing in Playa de Mogán.

The Clásica de Mogán began with the exhibition of the participating vehicles on Avenida de Los Marrero, in the fishing district of Playa de Mogán. Both residents and tourists did not miss the opportunity to observe and photograph these jewels of the engine that from 12:00 hours left next to the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa.

The winners of the general classification were Anna Niemczyk and Carlos Luis Miranda (Toyota Starlet) from Escudería Faroga, while second place went to Nicolás Sánchez and Pipo Ortega (Toyota Celica GTI 2.0), also from Faroga, and third place went to Santiago Perera and Darío Perera (Renault 5 GC Turbo) from Fan Motor.

Together with the rest of those present, the councilor for Social Services, Tania Alonso, the councilor for Transportation, Víctor Gutiérrez, and the councilor for Heritage, Consuelo Díaz, watched the teams depart that headed for Cercados de Espino in the Arguineguín ravine, Ayacata, Tejeda and the town of Artenara, where they shared lunch before continuing with the second part of the race. This other stage consisted of seven sections passing through Gáldar, La Aldea de San Nicolás, Veneguera, the Mogán ravine and returning to the starting point, Playa de Mogán, managing to reach the 187.239 kilometers programmed for this edition of the Clásica.

The end of the day was celebrated with a toast and the delivery of trophies at the facilities of the Cordial Valle Apartments. Benedicto Pérez, vice president of Fan Motor, Jorge Bethencourt, sports director of this team, Eugenio Gualdamez, representing the Hotel Cordial Mogán Playa, and councilor Consuelo Díaz, who assured that it is an honor for the municipality of Mogán to host this test that opens the automobile calendar in the canary archipelago
